Yonder
Yonder is a 2D platformer set in a futuristic landscape on a deadly alien planet. Yonder follows the young PhD candidate, Sully, as he sets out to collect artifacts in order to get his dissertation approved. Sully quickly discovers why the university tried to dissuade him from venturing to Yonder after collecting his first few artifacts. Whomever made the artifacts initially is willing to go to great lengths to stop overeager adventurers like Sully from escaping Yonder.

My Contributions
Level 3: Lava level
We scaled back our mechanics to two main challenges plus the moving platforms.
I came up with the multi-platforming section where the platforms move in different patterns than levels 1 & 2.
- This involved working with the programmers to add another degree of freedom to the platforms
Narrative and QA:
The programmers and I prototyped an in-game narrative system with chat bubbles.
While the other designers were polishing the FX in the levels, I worked on the narrative of the game as well as the UI of the chat system itself.
- We made this system data driven to maximize iteration. I could modify the speed, bubble location and wobble behavior, fonts, subtitles, and even character movement in the scene itself.
